The Ultimate CPA Course: Setting Up Your CPA System Part 3

After having WordPress as your CMS, a theme, and your website logo, you should now fill in the blanks of your website, that is, to create the pages of your site. The pages of your website are different from that of the posts of your website. Your pages will always remain at the top of the page while your posts are being updated with time. The pages of your website are one of the most important components of your website. These are the ones that you want the visitors of your site to know once they visit your site. Examples of pages that almost every website should have are “contact,” “about,” and “home.” Since these three are considered the most important of all pages, this guide will teach you how to create them.

In order to create the “about” page of your website, you should first thrash the sample page automatically given to you by WordPress after installing and using it for the first time. In order to do that, go to “Pages” then click on “All pages” and finally choose “thrash the sample page.”

On the “about” page of your website, you have to tell your visitors what your website is all about. For example, if your website is about losing weight for women, then you could have the following description for your “about” page:

“Poundbreaker.com is an ideal website for women of all ages wanting to lose their weight in just a short amount of time with the use of only simple tools and materials for physical activity as well as good recommendations for a healthy diet plan.”

Afterwards, click on publish.

Having a contact page for your website is very important. Not only will it allow your visitors to contact you, but it will also make your website look a lot more professional. Moreover having a contact page for your website will protect your privacy.


In order to add a contact page to your website, you will need to install a certain plugin in WordPress. WordPress has different tools and materials including themes and plugins that add to the functionality of your website. In order to understand better, think of plugins as the applications of WordPress that allows you to do a lot more things with your website. The specific plugin that you need to install in order to have a contact page in your website is called Contact Form 7. To install this plugin, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to plugins then click “add new.”

Install the plugin then activate it.
Go to contact then click the button called “add new” to successfully add the new plugin that you have installed.

After that, you now have a new contact page for your website. However, it is named “untitled” at this moment. In order to change the title, click the title then change the name untitled to contact.
Go to contact then select contact forms.
Copy the Short code of the plugin once you arrive at the contact forms.

  1. Go to pages, then click on add new.
  2. Change the title of the page to “contact.”
  3. Click on the “text” filed.
  4. Enter a short description about the page then add the short code that you have copied a while ago.
  5. Click on the publish button to finish creating the contact page.

After following those steps, you now have a contact page in your website. In order to know if this page is up and running, you may want to try it by filling out the form. After filling in all the required information, you should click send. Afterwards, go to your email to see if you will receive a notification.

In addition, you may want to create a privacy policy and a disclaimer page to your website. Doing this is not a required thing to do. However, doing so will be your protection in case the authorities contact you regarding your website’s legal issues. Moreover, incorporating a privacy policy and disclaimer page to your website will improve your site’s credibility and professionalism. So you may just well add them to your website. However, different websites are different from each other. Therefore, it all depends on you where to get your privacy policy and disclaimer. Fortunately, there are online sites that you can use in order to create a disclaimer and privacy policy for your website. Just be sure to pick good websites that will generate these for you.

Once you have your disclaimer and privacy policy, you should then incorporate them into your website either by adding them to the footer of your website or by creating two separate pages for each of them. If you want separate pages for each of them, just follow the steps in creating the contact and about page mentioned above.
